1. Your photos and privacy

• Catches you log are saved on your own device and are not shared with anyone unless you choose to post them.
• Posting to the live feed is optional. When you post, you choose who can see it:
  • Public — anyone using the app, signed in or not.
  • Members only — signed-in Catch My Craft members only.
• You can delete your post at any time; it is then removed from the feed and our storage.
• Family members do not see your photos. Family alerts share only the aircraft name, never photos or exact locations.

2. What you may post

• Only photos and videos you took yourself or have permission to share.
• No offensive language, harassment or images of people who have not agreed to be shown.
• Respect airport, airfield and airshow rules, and never enter restricted areas to get a shot.

3. Ownership

You keep ownership and copyright of your photos. By uploading, you grant Catch My Craft a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to store, display and adapt them within the app and its games — for example to show them to the audience you chose, to improve aircraft recognition, or to feature an outstanding shot as an aircraft's profile picture with your callsign or copyright credit. You can withdraw a photo by deleting it; it will stop being used for new purposes, though copies already in backups may take a short while to clear.

You confirm every photo you upload is your own work, or that you have permission to share it, and that it does not break anyone else's rights. We never sell your photos or license them to third parties outside the app.

4. Scoring and removal

Photos copied from the internet or from other members are refused for scoring. We may remove posts that break these terms and deduct incorrectly awarded bonus points.

5. Membership

Paid plans renew until cancelled, and you can cancel any time from Settings. The 3-day free trial needs no card.

Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep access until the end of the period already paid. Payments are handled by our payment provider, who acts as the seller of record, and refunds follow their policy and your local consumer law.

6. Safety and aviation rules

• Flight map, radio and airport information is for enjoyment only. It can be late, incomplete or wrong and must never be used for navigation or safety decisions.
• Obey the law, airport byelaws and police or security staff. Never trespass, block roads, fly drones near airfields or use a phone while driving to chase an aircraft.
• Listening to air traffic radio may be restricted where you live; you are responsible for checking local rules.

7. Referrals and commission

• You earn £2.50 for each Solo Annual and £3.50 for each Family Annual membership bought through your referral link. Approved Top Gun partners earn 15% of the annual price instead.
• Only real, completed annual payments count. Free trials, monthly plans, sign-ups without payment, failed cards and test payments never count.
• Every reward is held as Pending for 30 days. If the payment is refunded, disputed or cancelled in that time the reward is removed.
• Self-referrals are not allowed. A referral is refused if the email, name, device or network matches your own account, and we may remove rewards we reasonably believe were gained unfairly.
• You need an active account with a confirmed email to take part.
• Five qualifying annual referrals within 12 months earns a free year on your plan and the Flight Leader badge.
• You can request a withdrawal once your cleared balance reaches £25, paid by PayPal or UK bank transfer. Payouts are made by hand and you are responsible for any tax on what you earn.
• We may change or end the programme with notice; rewards already cleared will still be paid.

7. Children and family accounts

Children under 13 (or the age required where they live) should use the app through a parent's Family Pass. A parent approves each family member and is responsible for how the child uses the app.

8. Fair play

Leaderboard points come from catches and game levels checked by the app. Trying to fake scores, reuse other people's photos or misuse invite links can lead to points being removed or the account being closed.

9. AI features and images

Aircraft recognition and avatar drawings use AI and can make mistakes. Some puzzle pictures are AI-made and are labelled as such; they are not real photographs.

10. Liability and changes

The app is provided as it is. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law. We may update these terms and will show the new version here. See our Privacy Policy for how your data is handled.
